What makes the Colchagua Valley so special?

Just 18km from the Pacific, the proximity of the ocean provides a strong maritime influence that enables the grapes to ripen slowly and reach great potential.

Viu Manent are one of the longest established producers in the region. Initially the family focused on a negociant wine business however, in 1966 they fulfilled a long held ambition and bought the Hacienda San Carlos de Cunaco and the vineyards in the Colchagua Valley from which they had long sourced their wines.

The estate included 150 hectares of noble, pre-phylloxera vines - and has been recognised by multiple awards, including 'Best estate in Chile'.

Drinks like a Chablis, with very little oak influence, bright minerality, and a softness from the lees stirring that rounds everything out and reminds you this is indeed Chardonnay.
