The grapes are dried on wooden racks for 4 months. This process, known as appassimento, is used for only a few other wines around the world.
It yields a forceful wine, full of cherry, cocoa, and dried florals. Warm, well-balanced and round.
This critically acclaimed number is aged 24 months in barriques, and a further 6 months in bottle.
