Teofilo Reyes took the Ribera del Duero from being a second rate appellation to one that stands shoulder to shoulder with Rioja.

The climate is extreme - summer days are hot, but the nights are very cold. That big diurnal temperature produces fruit with fruit complexity and acid structure built to age.

Like in Rioja, they're big fans of American oak, bringing those classic vanilla and coconut flavours.

Not many better to do it in the Duero than Teofilo Reyes.
