Amarone has got to be one of the toughest, most labour intensive wines to make.

The grapes are harvested as usual in September, but then left to dry on racks until January. That concentrates the flavour by reducing the water content - but that means you need DOUBLE the fruit to make the same amount of wine.

It's then sent to age for 30 months in oak, before a further 12 in the bottle. This is Falezza's flagship wine, and the critics agree - this is special stuff.
