RWT stands for 'red winemaking trial'.

Founded by English immigrant Christopher Rawson Penfold in 1844, with the aim of producing medicinal wine, Penfolds is today the most famous and prestigious producer of Australian wine.

To meet demand, they started making 'table wine', labelling it the 'red winemaking trial'. With each BIN, it got better and better - but the experiment never stopped. Each one is an ostinato, building into a crescendo of red winemaking mastery.

Sourced only from the Barossa Valley, RWT is aged exclusively for 16 months in French oak, giving it two major points of difference from the rest of the Penfolds range.

Everyone should try a wine like this at least once in their life.
