Pago de Larrainzar, Rosado de Larrainzar, 2023

Larrainzar is an award winning producer based in Navarra. They're well known for their red wines - and it's actually from this skill that the Rosado is born.

You see, Rosado de Larrainzar is made using the native 'bleeding' technique, where you take the 'free run' juice from the beginning of the red wine processs. This is then vinified alone without further contact with stalks or skins.

You're left with a wine that's a touch sweeter and more complex than your average rosé. If you're not sold on traditional rosé, give this a go and let me know what you think.
