You will have seen Blanc de Blancs in Champagne. Meaning 'white from white', it refers to any sparkling wine made with white grapes only.
In Champagne, that means Chardonnay. In Bordeaux, that often means Semillon.
It's still made in the EXACT SAME WAY, with all the pains put into the Traditional Method. But the grape variety brings with it something ✨ extra special ✨
Semillon, like Chardonnay, can make medium-full bodied wines, but with an added touch of aromatics similar to Sauvignon Blanc.
Like a fizzy oaky Chardonnay. Not the usual crisp dry cremant I was expecting,
OK cremant for the price. It won't blow your mind but its OK.
Very good crèment fairly dry
Slight sweet taste but fabulous nonetheless’
