I'm really proud of our range of Winedrops exclusives. Wines like Ondaia, Del Mito, and Finca Balzarra are some of our highest rated wines full stop.

Why?

Because they're the wines we care most about. Sorry, everyone else.

If we're going to put our name to a wine, it's got to be PERFECT. We trawl through hundreds of vineyards, tasting hundreds of wines, until we find the needle in the haystack.

Nowhere is harder to accomplish this than Chateauneuf-du-Pape. The region is full of trumped up prices, and outstanding quality is fleetingly rare.

The producer of this wine already produce one of our favourite CNDPs. We asked them to go above and beyond - even better grapes, even more careful ageing, even more love.

They stepped up to the challenge, giving this a full 18 months in oak - unheard of on a CNDP of this price bracket.

When I tasted it...I knew. This was the wine.
