Proper Gran Reserva is only made in the best vintages.

This IS proper Gran Reserva, 2010 IS a legendary vintage.

30 months in American oak, this is unmistakably aged Rioja. Expect tertiary notes galore. Do not expect to talk over this wine - you will simply have to sit back and muse 'mmmhmm, that's nice'.

Monte Real is a fabulous producer of Red & white rioja, you probably will have seen them before! This is a chance to pluck their most premium wine at a jolly good price.

FYI - the Vivino benchmark here is a bit of an outlier - the latest vintages of this wine sell for £30-50. The 2010 is particularly good, and particularly rare.
