Wade Metzer was tutored by Eben Sadie, South Africa's most influential winemaker.

As far as teachers go - they don't come better than Eben. He instilled in Wade a deep respect for the fruit; a principle which guides his winemaking approach.

With most having direct exposure to maritime breezes from False Bay, alongside altitude from the Helderberg, his wines from have freshness to balance the Cape's natural ripeness.

To allow this old-vine fruit to express and the vineyard to shine, Wade uses minimal input: light fruit handling, indigenous yeasts for fermentation and minimal oak influence.
