With nine Grand Cru and 26 Premier Cru vineyards, the position of Gevrey-Chambertin among the world's great wine producing regions cannot be underestimated.

Pound for pound, it's probably the most expensive winemaking terroir in the world. Big, bold and muscular, Gevrey-Chambertin Pinot Noir is the most full-bodied, concentrated wine in Burgundy.

Boillot adds another layer of exclusivity on top. Produced exclusively from old vines, this has immeasurable depth. It's brawn and balance in equal measure.

I'd LOVE to say I've tasted this, but the fact is, you can't run a profitable business opening up Gevrey-Chambertin all day. There's just some bottles the accountant won't let me touch.

So, yeah - don't ask me what it tastes like.
