Los Helechos, Malbec de Malbecs, 2016

We rarely do Malbec - I know, it's weird! I know loads of you love it, but it's quite hard to find stuff that suits our strict quality standards.

Winemakers often like to boast about high altitude. It always cracks me up when you see this in Bordeaux - because it’s never more than ~100m above sea level.

This is the real deal though, at 1,100m.

Mixed with the long ageing in oak, this results in palate with bags of complexity and length. Really classic malbec for the malbec lovers.
