This Cab hails from Spring Mountain, a wellspring of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon. Among Heir’s neighbours are Lokoya, Philip Togni, Smith Madrone, and Pride Mountain.

This is sourced from a postage-stamp-sized, jewel-box vineyard, and the critic reviews attest to its belonging in such heralded Cab Sav country.

Dark ruby-black center with deep, staining tears around the glass. The nose centers on warm black-mountain fruit, blackberry, purple plum, dried blueberry, cassis, and dark chocolate.

The mouthfeel is rich and full, polished and pleasurable. Fine-grained tannins with gorgeous, sappy oak play a supporting role to the overall depth of fruit. Wild violets, bay leaf, black peppercorn, and dark earth linger on the long finish. Drinking exceptionally long for its price tier and quality.
