It's known worldwide for its 'terra rossa' soil - red clay rich in limestone - which imparts concentrated flavours into the berries. The cool climate results in complexity and retained acidity.

There are Left Bank Bordeaux growers who'd give their left knacker for winemaking terroir as good as this. And someone like Geoff Merrill knows how lucky he is. He manages to extract the absolute best from the land, creating wines with fine structure and character.

Approx.14 months after vintage, Geoff and Scott undergo a blind tasting to select the finest barrels from our Coonawarra and McLaren Vale vineyards that make the grade for the Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.
