Forager, White Blend, 2023

A forager is someone who searches far and wide for nourishment.

Winemaker Mike Graham is something of a wine forager.

Knowing where the best grapes are hidden for the vintage, he traverses the beautiful vineyards of South Africa’s coast and ‘forages’ grapes from special plots to create a distinctive wine in which the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

This vintage, Mike has sought out a parcel of Chenin Blanc and Grenache Blanc from the Paarl, Malmesbury and Wellington regions of South Africa.

Only using the pure, free-run juice, he aged the wine for a short period in oak, lending subtle oaky depth to the bright fruit notes. With ample character, it’s a food-friendly white.
