I know I'm not alone here - but I LOVE Sicilian wines. The reds are bold and fruity, and the whites are racy and refreshing.

Any other Sicilian fans out in the Winedrops family?

Fazio is based in Erice, Western Sicily, and has been family-owned for four generations. This 100% Nerello Mascalese is a great introduction to the varietal.

As it comes from the western hills of Sicily, it shows more ripeness than many of the Mt. Etna Nerellos. Lots of mocha and cocoa combined with black fruits lead into a dense but soft red.

A top class 'every day' wine.
