Often called Chardonnay's understudy, Pinot Blanc is a fabulous varietal for the price.

With a similar medium to full-bodied style with good acidity, Pinot Blanc's varietal characters include apple and almond, and sometimes a touch of smokiness.

Like Chardonnay, it is a palette for winemaker intervention, and flavours often depend on style. This is particularly exciting, blending the varietal characteristics with traditional Hungarian winemaking.
