Chateauneuf is a style of wine that ages gracefully - despite not insisting upon it. Equally fabulous young, when it ages, you get these wonderful tertiary notes of leather, game, and stewed fruit.

All the way from 2001, this is now bang in its prime for the lovers of a fully developed wine. Better yet, it comes from good stock: Domaine du Vieux Lazaret are well practiced at making world class wines.

Their more recent vintages are spectacularly popular on Vivino, which is always a great sign.
