I don't know whether it was Yves or Sofie who suggested moving their whole family from Belgium to Valencia to start a vineyard.

But for a long time, the decision must have seemed dumb as hell.

Going up against giants, with hundreds of years of tradition. That takes courage (and a bit of belligerence).

But their commitment to making fresh wines from local varietals, on very, very old vines - well, it paid off.

Although De Moya is a young house, Yves and Sofie have succeeded in making well-rounded wine that has both complexity and characteristic Spanish nerve.
