Corte Dei Venti, Rosso di Montalcino, 2021

Corte dei Venti, which translates to “Court of the Winds,” is named after a unique microclimate in Montalcino. This section of Montalcino is the sunniest, characterized by hilly slopes, red soils, and constant sea winds that keep the vineyards healthy.

This Rosso di Montalcino comes from low-yielding vines for enhanced quality. The wine is aged for 12 months in a combination of French barrique and large oak casks. Followed by at least 4 months of bottle resting until release.

Just 6,800 bottles handcrafted! You can't find this anywhere in the UK, which is a shame given its sterling critic reviews!

Rosso is a lovely option if you don't want the full-bodied punch-in-the-face of Brunello, which comes from the same region. It's also less of a punch-in-the-wallet, which is always nice.
