This excellent wine is grown in the municipality of Saint-Estephe, just a stone's throw away from the world-famous winery Chateau Lafite Rothschild, the Grand Cru Classe.

The Chateau Tour Blanquet belongs to the Lamy family. The vineyard covers 3 h, the vines are on average over 35 years old. In 2003, part of the vineyard was sold to the neighbor, the Chateau Cos d'Estournel.

Fermentation took place with local yeasts and then it was aged in barriques for 6 months.

I've seen this wine described as 'greedy', and I think that's wonderful. At the very least, it INSPIRES greed.
