Chateau du Trignon, Gigondas, 2017

I once dropped a pallet from a forklift. The bottles smashed and £000's went down the drain...

Some of them were salvageable, BUT the label isn't pretty.

The Trignon river winds its way through some legendary wine country. Through the Southern Rhône, between Sablet and Gigondas.

This eponymous wine is ultra ripe - on the bouquet it explodes with sun-drenched plum and creme de cassis.

Not available in the UK, so we’ve price-matched to 2016. That probs does us a disservice though, because crtics show that the 2017 is *far superior*.
