2016 Bordeaux is like 03-04 Arsenal.

Hmm, that's not a very inclusive analogy is it? How about - it's like 2010-2015 Beyonce. Only bangers.

As soon as it was bottled, it was lofted to the heights of 2005 and 2010 as being one of the true greats. It lived up to expectations, with the classified growths fetching top drawer prices.

But here's the catch - to capitalise on this extraordinary vintage, you have to ALREADY create great wine. As Plato himself said, you can't polish a turd.

That's why these wines from the likes of Chateau des Tourelles are so exceptional - good at the worst of times, better at the best of times.
