Acquired inn 1999 by Domaines Barons de Rothschild, Chateau d'Aussiers has undergone a MAJOR facelift.

Vines were pruned, state-of-the-art technology installed, and buildings restored.

And call me crazy - but I think you can see the Lafite Rothschild influence on the label. Just me?

The 167 hectare vineyard is situated close to Narbonne, in the Corbières wine appellation, at the heart of the “Fontfroide terroir”. For the uninitiated, Corbieres AOC produces rich, powerful, fleshy reds with lots of garrigue and spice.

This beast is aged 16 months in oak.
