Chateau Cabrieres, Les Silex Chateauneuf du Pape, 2020

The name ‘Cabrières’ comes from the Latin name Capraria, designating a place where goats are raised.

You might say this is the GOAT of Chateauneuf-du-pape... (you'd be wrong, but it is very good nonethless).

Château Cabrières is located in the village of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, in the Vaucluse department. The property dates back to the 14th century, and it benefits from the flinty local soil where vines have been planted since 1344.

The name Silex refers to the big flint pebbles that hold the day's heat, warming the grapes to perfect ripeness and producing a wine typical of Northern CDP.
