1984, bloody hell that's some age.

For context, Steve Jobs launched the Macintosh in 1984. These grapes were harvested 40 YEARS AGO.

I opened a few of these up on my wedding and - word of caution - these are very old wines. Mellow, tertiary notes of tobacco and leather have almost entirely eclipsed any tartness or fruitiness.

But, for the purveyor of old wines, this is an extremely rare find.

If you're going to take a wine this old, it's a good thing it's CNDP, and further, that it's Chateau Cabrieres who made the stuff. After all, they were established some time in the 14th century so they know a thing or two about age.
