Barolo has ancient origins. Documents testify to the growing of Nebbiolo in the Visette area as long ago as the 12th century, when the Saracen invasions advanced inland into Piedmont from the Ligurian coast.

This wine takes its name and inspiration from the area’s ancient tradition, producing Barolo in the old fashion.

Picked from 40 year old vines, it’s aged for 3 years in Tonneaux and Barriques.

Balsamic aromas of camphor mingle with new leather, pressed rose petal and wild berry. Full-bodied and savory, the palate shows ripe cherry marinated in spirits, raspberry, tobacco and licorice set against taut, refined tannins.
