Ok, Champagne heads - this is how top Champagne is made. La Cuvée is dominated by Chardonnay (+50%) blended with Pinot Noir and Meunier. They add in 15–30% reserve wines to guarantee consistency year to year. After secondary fermentation, it ages a minimum of four years on lees. You get a Champagne that you can't put down. Described by a good friend of ours as "Session Champagne", it's so good you have to have more than one glass. Chateau-wise, Laurent Perrier maintains over 700 individual winemaking vats.
