Ninety points from Decanter. Gold from Mundus Vini. And it costs the same as a supermarket bottle. Alacer Crianza comes from Bodegas Riojanas, a producer with roots deep in Spanish wine country and wines across some of Spain's most serious DOs. This one is Ribera del Duero Tempranillo. The Crianza rules mean it's had at least a year in oak before you see it, which is where the vanilla and spice creep in alongside the dark cherry. You'll struggle to find critics taking a sub-£20 Ribera del Duero this seriously. We did.
